Self promotion, or rather self marketing is like art: It's harder to accomplish than it seems, it's often misunderstood and many of us would like to be good at it (but may not admit it). Obviously most use different approaches in different situations. Often the different approaches are mixed with each other. Out of the office

Today there shouldn't be need for offices. At least not need for going to the office every day. We could work from home. Some of us do. Many still don't. Of course there are jobs that require being in a certain place at the certain time. Like nurses and firemen. But us who aren't nurses or firemen, those of us who do most of our grande work hunched before the bright light of the screen, shouldn't need to go to the office. Free for marketing

Giving for free doesn’t sound like great business. Free is free and there’s no straight monetary gain from it. However freebies are great marketing and great marketing is something any business needs. Obvious freebies are the trial versions. Offering a (full) version for the clients to try for a limited time is good.
