3. Description of the Privacy Policy

MERVI EMILIA ESKELINEN is committed to protecting your privacy online. This Privacy Policy pursuant to the Articles 13 and 14 of General Data Protection Regulation (679/2016/EU) describes how I will process personal data of MERVIEMILIA.COM website users and my clients.

The terms "I", "me" and "my" refers to MERVI EMILIA ESKELINEN. The terms "user", "visitor", "client", "you" and "your" refer to site visitors, customers and any other users of the site, and clients of my invoiced services.

4. Data collection

There are three (3) main groups of data subjects affected by this Privacy Policy.

The first group of data subjects consists of website users. The personal data is provided by you voluntarily through forms on this website. IP-addresses are collected automatically from the information your browser sends. Additionally your email newsletter subscriber data can be modified based on behaviour (email opens, link clicks, etc.). This website may collect data about your visit, your searches, and other activity on this site. The information gathered during general browsing is from standard server logs.

The second group of data subjects consists of my invoiced clients. The personal data is provided by you upon client contract creation, and without this data the contract cannot be created.

The third group of data subjects consists of customers purchasing products, courses and services. The personal data is provided by you through the payment forms.

5. Data usage

The information you provide through this website is used to improve this website and my services, and respond to inquiries and other contact. Upon subscribing to my email newsletter, you consent to receiving periodical emails, including marketing messages. The data collected automatically from website usage or email newsletter usage is used to improve your user experience, and for helping to collect and analyse anonymised data of your visit.

By contracting my services you accept the data storage and usage for invoicing, contact and other client contract related use. Without accepting the data storage and usage the contract cannot be created.

By purchasing products, courses and services you accept the data storage and usage for payment processing, delivering receipts, and delivering and accessing purchased products, courses and services. All Payhip payments are handled by Paypal and Stripe.

6. Personal Data to be processed

The Personal Data collected may include:

  • Contact information: Name, Email address, Address, Location
  • Client information: Business ID, Client ID, product/service purchase and usage data
  • Other necessary contact information
  • Website or email newsletter user information gathered during general browsing is from standard server logs: IP-address, domain name, browser type, operating system, and information such as the web site that referred you to this site, the files you downloaded, the pages you visit, and the dates/times of those visits
  • Data usage information, such as date and source

7. Disclosure and transfers of personal data

This website and basic browsing data is hosted at the servers of Hawk Host Inc. in Amsterdam, EU.

Email subscription data is hosted at the servers of MailerLite (MailerLite's Privacy Policy). MailerLite may monitor the list from time to time.

Invoiced client data is hosted by Eezy Kevytyrittäjät Osk. Eezy Kevytyrittäjät and its employees may handle the client data when implementing invoicing in my behalf. Eezy Kevytyrittäjät and I have made a contract about handling my client data for invoicing and protecting the data.

Sales of digital products, courses and services via Payhip fall under Payhip Privacy Policy and Payhip Terms of Use. Payhip is secure and doesn't store card details. All Payhip payments are handles by Paypal and Stripe.

In the process of using the data, some of the personal data collected may be transferred to countries outside EU or ETA. In those cases the controller will protect the information as described in this Privacy Policy and will comply with applicable legal requirements.

Your personal information will never be shared with unrelated third parties unless required by law.

8. Cookies & Analytics

This website may save cookies to your browser. Cookies are small encrypted files that are stored on your computer or other device. I use both session cookies, which expire once you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which stay on your computer until you delete them. You can remove the cookies from your browser or block this site from saving cookies.

According to the Finnish interpretation of the EU Cookie Law the website visitors opt in or out of using cookies by browser or other application settings.

9. Third party links, affiliate links and widgets

This website may contain links to third party websites. This document only addresses the use and disclosure of information I collect from you on MERVIEMILIA.COM. Other sites accessible through my site via links, third party widgets or otherwise have their own policies in regard to privacy. I am not responsible for the privacy policies, data collection or practices of third parties. You acknowledge sole responsibility for and assume all risk arising from your use of any such websites.

Some of the pages of this site will allow you to purchase different products and services provided by other merchants or marketplaces. Some of the links posted on this site may be affiliate links. When you click on an affiliate link and purchase the product or service, I will receive a small commission. Affiliate links are marked as such.

I'm not responsible for the quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability or any other aspect of third party merchants/marketplaces, products and services. In addition, the third party marketplaces/merchants will have their own privacy and data collection practices. I maintain security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, misuse, or disclosure. Both MailerLite (MailerLite Security Statement) and Hawk Host data centres are protected and ISO 27001 certified.

Eezy Kevytyrittäjät will implement appropriate technical and organisational data-protection measures to ensure protection of personal data. Data is protected by firewalls, passwords and other generally accepted technical data protection measures. Access to the personal data is given only to persons who need to process the personal data in the register in order to carry out their duties and implement invoicing in my behalf.

11. Age restrictions and children

Some of the content may not be suitable for all audiences. Please, do not let your small kids use the Internet without your supervision. They really shouldn't. To access or use this website, you must be 18 years old or older and have the requisite power and authority to enter into these terms of service and Privacy Policy. Children under the age of 18 are prohibited from using this website without adult supervision.

12. Storage period of personal data

The personal data of a data subject will be stored only as long as necessary to carry out the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy.

13. Rights of the data subject

You may access, correct and request for removal of your personal information by contacting me via email.

14. Amenmends to this Privacy Policy

I develop my business operations on a continuous basis and reserve myself the right to amend this Privacy Policy. The amendments can also be based on changes in legislation. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this website and this Privacy Policy periodically and to be aware of any modifications. Notifications of any changes to this Privacy Policy, and the changes are only disclosed by posting them on this page.
