Hot Font #7: Six Caps
The lucky seventh Hot Font was a lucky find as well. My friend Anthony was recently searching for neat new fonts. When I asked him what he's found, he pointed me to this gem called Six Caps. Six Caps is clean and narrow all caps font. It's great for posters as well as headers. Created by Vernon Adams the font is free and licensed under SIL Open Font License (OFL). Going responsive
Responsive (web) design is a very trendy thing currently. Basically it's about design the site adapt to different devices and screen sizes in a (more or less) fluid manner. To try responsive design out in practice I decided to make a new design for this little blog. And boy did I do some. I wanted the new look be clear, simple and spacious, yet kind of soft. The softness I created with using a scruffy surface like a recycled paper as the background and with Allura font for headers and such. Hot Font #6: Allura
This time the Hot Font is another decorative font. I was looking for a nice, fancy script to enhance a web design. Allura is a heavily stylized, yet clean. Hot Font #5: Erica One
Let's go with another Hot Font! This time it's a plump font called Erica One. Erica is a heavy and sort of retro. It's interesting and works well in different sizes. Created by Latinotype the font is free and licensed under SIL Open Font License (OFL). Erica One on Google Web Fonts.
Hot Font #4: Sail
This time the Hot Font is something more decorative. Found through How About Orange, this font called Sail is neat and elegant. Sail is created especially for headlines, displays and posters. It's quite detailed and I do like the pretty uppercases. Created by Latinotype the font is free and licensed under SIL Open Font License (OFL). Sail on Font Squirrel and Google Web Fonts.
Hot Font #3: Rock Salt
The third Hot Font is handwritten, but cool. Not your usual schoolgirl type. It's called Rock Salt. Rock Salt is handmade, fun and kinda cool. Created by Squid (aka Dave Cohen) the font is free and licensed under Apache License, version 2. Rock Salt on Font Squirrel and Google Web Fonts.
