So far my iPhone 4S has been caseless. I've been carrying it around in a small pouch by Golla. The pouch has a couple of problems though: It's slow (and loud) to open and headphone jack doesn't fit in it well. For quite a while I've been dreaming about a Custom case by Case-Mate. Unfortunately it took me a good while to create a design I was completely happy with. Finally I came up with an idea of cute hot air balloons on sky.
Case-Mate offers a couple of different types of cases for several different devices to choose from. I chose a basic Barely There case.
The designing process was easy enough. When I had the image done I just uploaded it at the Case-Mate site and aligned it on the case mockup. The tool on the site is made with Flash and on it any design looks a bit crappy. So don't be alarmed if your images look somewhat pixelated when uploaded there. I used the resolution of 300 dpi for my balloons to make sure it's quality is good enough. The case took three days to be processed and sent and it arrived to Finland two weeks after the order was made.
The result is very good quality and pretty. The colors are very close if not exactly the same as on my screen. The image is set precisely as I aligned it on the mockup at the site. The pack included also one basic screen protector, a cleaning cloth and a soft applicator card. The case itself is slim, feels nice and soft in hand, and snaps on the phone nicely.
