I've gotta learn to take notes

I constantly have great blog post ideas. Like an entry about why I liked this and that movie. Or why you should target women in with your social media (marketing) stuff. Oh and of course what's the difference between constructive and destructive criticism. These ideas rumble through my head usually when I have a shower or when I'm supposed to sleep. Or any other inconvenient moment.

I have the whole post typed in my head. The witty side remarks and all.

But when I get to my laptop and start to actually write the thing I all of a sudden don't have much anything. Only vague outlines of what I was going to write. And then it comes out all wrong. No witty remarks, no grande ideas.

Taking notes in shower is pretty impossible. Perhaps right after it then. And when I'm half asleep... Wouldn't I just wake myself completely if I tried to start writing it down?

Does anyone else have this same problem? If you do, how do YOU handle it?
