Hello,
I'm Mervi Eskelinen!

What's the attraction of all the purple, plum and violet? Lately I've been seeing lots of people wearing something purple: Scarfs, bags, shoes and jackets. There was a tiny dog attached to purple leash and wearing a purple harness. Some lady was wearing snazzy plum colored rubberboots (with a skirt). Is this some fashion thing?
Basically I know why purple is associated with royalty and nobility. I just don't see it.
In anywhere else but nature the shades of purple are pretty boring. During a sunset, when the sky goes peach, pink, purple and violet, it's beautiful. Purple and violet flowers in nature are lovely. Otherwise for me there's nothing that great about the color.
It's not like I don't see emotions and other connotations in colors. Red vibrates of anger, love and strength, passion in general. It's the color of blood. And yellow is happy, fun and even naive, the color of sunshine.
Instead of purple I could see something royal and expensive in other colors. Like turquoise. However this might be because I like the gem called turquoise. In my scale of value turquoises are the most valuable ones of all the gems and jewels.
