Size matters or Use bigger fonts

As it comes to web and email newsletter design and the fonts, the size matters. For a while back in time (not that long ago) it was hip and pop and cool and all sorts of neat things to use rather small fonts on websites. The general idea was it made the sites look more professional.

That's totally wrong. When your text content matters (and when doesn't it matter?) it needs to be easy to read. Small text is terrible to read. Headachy terrible.

You may have heard 14px is currently fashionable size. However this size isn't always the best solution as the appearance of different typefaces varies in different sizes. Simply and roughly put some fonts are smaller, some are bigger.

As too small is too small, too big is also too big. In case you are unsure, go with the bigger. But keep in mind that the fat cat sized type will make reading a more work when it comes to longer texts. So, don't go all nuts with it.

In this case the how you use it doesn't really matter. It's the size. You won't be able to bring satisfaction with the small "print".
