Hello,
I'm Mervi Eskelinen!
An artist, nerd and sorcerer, dedicated to make world softer and better for everyone, and to get you to make more art. Make art, change the world!
In time to time it's easy to sink into thinking what the heck is the point of all this. Why am I sharing where I am or what I'm doing, and why am I writing these blog posts. Does anyone even care about my tweets or what I liked? It's frustrating.
The frustration may lead to long and unnecessary hiatuses or even quitting. Setting goals and creating simple tasks is one way out of this situation.
Think about what you want to accomplish. A new job, perhaps. Getting noticed. Making sure everyone else will learn about this-and-that-very-important-issue. Selling something, gaining more customers, understanding your market. Finding something or someone. What ever it is, be honest.
When you know what you really want, it's time to think how you will get there. The type and amount of blog posts you will write during a set time. The type and amount of tweets and Facebook statuses, shares and likes. Joining a new network and taking part on at least a set amount of conversations. Posting this-many photos to Flickr by the end of the week. Make sure your tasks are doable and will not get in the way of your work and especially your life.
Add these tasks to a to do -list or tada-list, your calendar, set reminders or stick some post-its all around your work area. Make sure you'll remember them in a way or another. Then you'll be ready to get them done and on your way to where you are going!
