Some like it homespun

I like roaming around CSS galleries. And I do often like the stuff I see there. But sometimes a thought goes through my head: Why do all these sites look the same?

Often these sites are built to look cool, but not to look like the organization and the people who form it. They are designed to be all hip and pop and in, but not personal and interesting. The hipster corporate style as I've called it before.

A new client I talked with today said she doesn't want their site to look like it's been made just to look flashy by some third party. She said she wants the site to have that homemade feeling and tell something about their company. Some like their web homespun.
