Wake up

Surely she was awake. Her eyes were open, she could move her body. The room wasn't dark anymore, yet it wasn't really light either. Her heart was pounding and fear was rushing through her veins. The man next to her wasn't who he was supposed to be. She didn't know him. A stranger, sleeping soundly as if he had always slept there. She closed her eyes trying to grasp the reality. Surely she wasn't awake. This was a dream, something happening between the sleep and waking up. Breathe in counting five. Hold breath counting five. Breathe out counting five. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Calm down, i...

New

The first step, frightened, unsure. Wish to go back, when you cannot return. Untold stories, memories to be remembered, fresh faces, obscure places. Will everything change, or stay the same? Is there hope, is there despair? Take my hand, hold tight. In a blink of an eye, we are new again.

The girl and the boy

It’s dark. Some of the streetlights aren’t working and there's no people around. Loud music plays in distance. Only few loud cheers and thrilled screams cut through it. A young woman comes out of a building. She is wearing a blue wig which makes her look like a manga character. Her denim skirt is short and there’s a big hole on her fishnet stockings. She leans on the wall and takes out her phone. While she seems relaxed there’s something wound up about her. Like a cat she is ready to jump away, scratch and hiss. After a while a car parks in front of her. It’s an old beat up rust bucket. In i...

I am an ocean Silent and loud Moving slow and fast Breathing Living Peaceful for a moment Stormy in the next As the moon is full I don't have to see it Yet I feel it It pulls me over Makes me restless Calls me by my name Knows all of my secrets Hears my private thoughts And I answer it's call I answer without choice Begging it to let me free Asking for relief But it keeps drawing me Bright and calm Holding tight Until I give in I am an ocean Silent and loud

City

As usual, he was busy. At morning he would rush to the work without seeing or hearing anything around. At work he would make sure everyone saw how useful he was. And after the work he would rush back home, have dinner with the family and sit then down in front of the television to read something. This time he stopped in the middle of the crowd. Everyone around him rushing from somewhere to somewhere else. They were on the way, no person was here. He looked up, the buildings standing tall above them. He imagined people like him in the offices. Wearing something appropriate, suits and dresse...

Darkness

First it's like going blind all of a sudden. There's nothing there, eyes are open, but it's as if they were closed. Only those flashes of light, colored spots floating everywhere. Then the shapes start to show. Shapes and all the smallest sources of light. I stand in the dark, waiting for my eyes to get used to it. It takes only a moment. Suddenly I see all the creatures of night. Somewhere I hear a lonely fox barking. It sounds like a high pitched dog bark recorded and played backwards. Moon appears in between the clouds, scaring the creatures of night away. It winks at me, I wink bac...

Running

The playlist was full of win. The rhythm of the music was fast enough and there weren't any slow ballads trumping the steady pace. He could hear his own labored breath and stomping feet through the music. It was a lovely morning. The sun was shining on his face and he thanked himself for taking the sunglasses. Gentle wind made the air feel fresh yet not too cold. Today the path felt slightly too soft. New sand had been laid on it the day before. Small sharp pieces of rock flew away under his shoes. Sweaty t-shirt was getting glued on his back. A young woman with a tiny dog looked at him....
