Sand animation by Kseniya Simonova
Ever heard about sand animation? There seems to be two types of sand animation. I'm at the moment especially interested about the performance art. In this type the artist is creating series of images with sand, right in front of the viewers eyes.
I knew nothing about this form of art. Not until I saw Kseniya Simonova rendering some amazing stuff on the background of Ukrainian entry for Eurovision Song Contest 2011. The video embedded here is her dedication for Chernobyl disaster back in 1986. (The actual animation starts about two minutes in, after Ms. Simonova's speech.)
