Getting your Tweets noticed is sometimes easier said than done. Your followers are following tons of others and those tons of others are Tweeting like maniacs. Making them pay attention to your Tweets (and perhaps click the links too) may prove to be difficult. It's not impossible though. Here are a couple of very simple ways to help your message to be noticed.
Because your followers are likely to be using Twitter from different time zones or at least they are using it different times, it's best to repeat the most important Tweets. Try and get your Tweets out when your followers are on Twitter.
Tweeting more can also help when your followers are really following so many people they miss half of them anyways. That way you'll ensure they will notice at least one or two of your Tweets.
However when you do repeat same subject, don't use the exactly same Tweet all over and over again. Add variation. Tweet the thing in different ways, don't just repeat the very same thing. (Yes, telling you to repeat the Tweet was a bit misleading, sorry about that.)
Some Twitter apps show smaller sized versions of images applied to Tweets. Because of that the Tweet with image is a bit more visible than a plain text-and-link Tweet.
Of course very detailed, dark or other sort of images that don't work so well in small size aren't very good for this. They don't give that feeling of wanting to click and see the picture.
Besides making your Tweet more visible with the thumbnail images, pictures are also great because people just love them in general. A picture can tell more than your words.
Brackets in plain text emphasize the part between them and the whole Tweet with it. Especially square brackets [ ] and curly brackets { } get noticed.
Using square and curly brackets to emphasize the most important Tweets works. Just don't overdo them, or your Twitter feed will start to look spammy and annoying very soon.
