Hello,

One of the things at least most Twitter users hope is to get their Tweets shared along, ReTweeted. Especially when you are promoting something (your blog, your work etc.), you are counting every ReTweet.
There's lots of tips and tricks to how to get ReTweeted out there. Most of them don't really work. For instance as I previously wrote, "Want to be ReTweeted? Be ReTweetable!" is an useless piece of advice. It doesn't mean a thing.
Often you are also told to ask for ReTweets. That works with some Twitter users, but may also upset and repel many. So be careful with that.
Make your followers WANT to do it - The best way to get ReTweeted is to get your followers to want to share your Tweets. If they care enough about you they'll do it. If they feel they will gain something from it, they'll do it. Make sure they have a reason to do this favor for you.
ReTweet yourself - If you want to be ReTweeted, ReTweet yourself. The people who have gotten your attention are more likely to ReTweet back and the rest will see you aren't just promoting your own stuff and only taking advantage of others. Don't ReTweet too much, so that you won't appear as a spammer.
Always thank - Especially when someone is ReTweeting the your links or your "original" Tweets, remember to thank them. Simply @reply with a genuine thank you and you'll leave the person with the feeling they've done something good. Some people make their thank you's @mentions rather than @replies, but that's a quite spammy way to do it. Sure way to upset the rest of your followers.
Make your Tweets noticeable - Your followers can't ReTweet your Tweets unless they notice them. When you share links, make them easy to notice. Don't repeat the same thing with same words all over and over. Be sure to Tweet at different times, so that people using Twitter at different times and timezones will catch your stuff.
